Number 4: ‘The Merv Griffin Show’

NBC

Of all the goofy, out-there plotlines from Seinfeld, the best is Kramer finding the set for the old Merv Griffin Show in the trash – and using it for his living room.

It may be our favorite storyline of any storyline in all of Seinfeld. The whole thing is sublimely absurd.

Everything else in the episode is also good, if not as strong. Jerry’s storyline definitely has some bumps along the way. He’s dating a woman with a vintage toy collection, so he takes to inducing sleep in her (with drowsiness-causing medication, wine, heavy gravy et al) to play with her toys.
