He’s been changing the game since his first feature film She’s Gotta Have It in 1986, and continuing to raise the bar for filmmakers all the way up until his acclaimed war drama Da 5 Bloods dropped on Netflix in 2020.

Bold, inventive, and never afraid to be real with his audience, Lee has solidified a name for himself as a Hollywood legend. And that’s why he’s one of the top boomers on our list.
