Calling all filmmakers: Tell us about an indie-friendly business out there that you think deserves the attention of the wider moviemaking community.

Every year, MovieMaker publishes a list of 25 indie-friendly businesses in our Fall issue. Last year, we opened up the floor for readers to nominate these companies for our consideration, and many of those suggestions made it into our final 25 (see last year’s full list here). So this year we’re calling upon you guys once more.

We’re looking for the best of the best, in categories such as equipment manufacturers or rental houses, production/post-production facilities, studio spaces, distribution services or platforms, filmmaking apps, social media/networking communities… you name it. Whether it’s a mom-and-pop camera shop in Nebraska or a bustling post-production house in Hollywood, we want to hear about the businesses that have helped you the most in your filmic endeavors. Have you had a wonderful experience with an indie film business that you’ve been dying to share? Or, are you an independent film company willing to go to the ends of the Earth for your customers? Fill in the form below to submit your idea – and you might get quoted in MovieMaker Magazine’s Fall 2014 issue, coming out this November.

Nominations will be accepted until Friday, September 19, 2014.
