One of the most controversial Best Picture winners, Crash could never be made today because almost all feature-length films take weeks if not months to shoot, given the time it takes to set up lights, cameras, dollies, etc. And that’s even before you account for actors and directors demanding multiple takes!

Add in titles, editing, the score, color correction and a bunch of other Hollywood things, and you could never make a movie in a single day — even Crash.
